Fitzcarraldo Chief Proposed Killing Kinski

While filming Fitzcarraldo (1982) in the Amazon rainforest, German director Werner Herzog repeatedly clashed with actor Klaus Kinski, who also raged at other crew members. Herzog later said Kinski's behavior so disturbed the Machiguenga tribe, who were extras on the set that one of their chiefs seriously offered to kill him. Herzog declined because he still needed Kinski to complete the film.
