Jordan Donated Entire Comeback Salary

American basketball star Michael Jordan donated his entire $1 million salary from his first season with the Washington Wizards after returning from retirement in 2001. He pledged the money to relief efforts supporting victims of the September 11 attacks in Washington and New York. Jordan gave $100,000 to a fund for children who lost a parent or guardian in the Pentagon attack and directed the remainder to other relief organizations.
