Luxembourg Provides Free Nationwide Transit

Since February 29, 2020, Luxembourg has offered free public transport across the entire country to residents, commuters, and visitors alike. Passengers can ride buses, trams, and second-class trains without buying a ticket, including through rural areas. Only first-class train travel requires payment, and passengers must carry identification in case a conductor requests it.
