Wright And Moore Treated Enemies

On D-Day, American combat medics Robert Wright and Kenneth Moore parachuted unarmed behind enemy lines with the 101st Airborne Division. They converted a small church in Angoville-au-Plain into an aid station and worked for three days without sleep or fresh supplies, treating more than 70 wounded American and German soldiers as well as local civilians. When German forces captured the village, an officer allowed the neutral aid station to continue after seeing German casualties receiving the same care as the Americans.
