Bomb Tank Never Missed Action

A Canadian M4 Sherman tank nicknamed Bomb fought continuously from its D-Day landing until Germany surrendered. It arrived at Juno Beach on June 6, 1944, with the Sherbrooke Fusilier Regiment and participated in every major operation fought by the unit over the next 11 months. Bomb fired 6,000 rounds, destroyed five enemy tanks, survived two direct shell hits and an anti-tank rocket, and never missed a day of action while fighting across France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. The surviving tank is now preserved in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
