An Egyptian-Spanish archaeological team found a passage from Book II of the Iliad by ancient Greek poet Homer inside a Roman-era mummy at El-Bahnasa, ancient Oxyrhynchus, in Egypt's Minya Governorate. The fragment contains part of the "Catalogue of Ships," which lists the Greek forces involved in the campaign against Troy. Archaeologists say the discovery highlights how widely Greek literature had spread through Roman Egypt.
