Instead, Greek forces counterattacked on November 14, 1940, forcing Italian troops to retreat. After 103 days of fighting, Greek cartoonist K. Bezos depicted a waiter telling an Italian, "Tell Mussolini the coffee he ordered in Athens is frozen."
