During the 1990s and until 2004, Continental Express operated North America's shortest commercial flight between Ellington Field and George Bush Intercontinental Airport, both in Houston. The aircraft covered just 24.28 miles in about 13 minutes, allowing passengers to connect with other Continental flights. Connecting travelers could even book the round trip at no additional cost.
