Werther's Original Marketed Grandparent Nostalgia

During the 1990s, German candy brand Werther's Original deliberately linked its caramel sweets with grandparents and grandchildren. Television commercials featured a kindly grandfather, played in the United States by American actor Robert Rockwell, sharing the candy with a young boy.
