Daphne Galizia's Final Corruption Warning

Daphne Galizia's Final Corruption Warning

Maltese investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia spent decades reporting on government corruption, nepotism, money laundering allegations, and misconduct by politically exposed people in Malta. In 2016 and 2017, her work on the Panama Papers and related allegations made her one of the country’s most prominent anti-corruption voices. On 16 October 2017, a bomb exploded in her car shortly after she left her home, killing her instantly. Her final blog post ended with the line: “There are crooks everywhere you look now. The situation is desperate.”
