Donald Glover Improvised Community Punchlines

While writing scripts for the TV series Community, the writers sometimes ended scenes with the note, "And then Donald says something funny." Donald Glover would then improvise a joke instead of following a finished scripted line. Series creator Dan Harmon said Glover would often riff a line funnier than anything the writers had planned.
