Metallica Entered National Recording Registry

In 2016, Metallica’s "Master of Puppets" entered the National Recording Registry at the United States Library of Congress. The library selected it as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" enough for preservation. The album became the first metal recording added to the registry.
