Gallaudet Eleven Beat Motion Sickness

The Gallaudet Eleven were deaf men whom NASA recruited to study the effects of weightlessness because their deafness made them immune to motion sickness. In one experiment, researchers took them out on a boat to test motion effects, but the study fell apart for an unexpected reason. The researchers became impaired by seasickness, while the deaf subjects remained unaffected.
