Kumul Khanate Outlived Mongol Empire

The last remnant of the Mongol Empire ruled by a direct descendant of Genghis Khan lasted until 1930. It was the Kumul Khanate, a semi-autonomous state in Xinjiang whose rulers traced their lineage back to the Mongol imperial family. When the final khan died in 1930, that surviving political line came to an end.
