Breaking Bad Moved To Albuquerque

Breaking Bad' was originally written for Riverside, California, but Sony suggested filming in Albuquerque because New Mexico offered better financial conditions. Vince Gilligan then changed the story setting to New Mexico too, since filming there while pretending it was California would mean constantly avoiding the Sandia Mountains in eastward shots. The move gave the AMC series its desert look.
