Winona Ryder Protected Beetlejuice Return

When actress Winona Ryder was offered the role of Joyce Byers on "Stranger Things," she accepted on one condition: the Duffer brothers had to let her leave if a "Beetlejuice" sequel started filming. Ryder had been discussing a possible sequel with Tim Burton for years. The deal worked out, and she later returned as Lydia Deetz in "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice."
