The Wire Never Won Emmys

During its five-season HBO run from 2002 to 2008, "The Wire" never won a single Emmy. The acclaimed Baltimore crime drama received only two Emmy nominations, both for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. The Television Academy nominated it for "Middle Ground" in 2005 and "-30-" in 2008, but both episodes lost.
