Sharon Stone’s Leg-Crossing Shock

American actress Sharon Stone said she slapped Dutch director Paul Verhoeven after seeing the famous "Basic Instinct" leg-crossing scene for the first time. Stone said she had removed her underwear during filming because Verhoeven told her the white fabric was reflecting light and assured her that nothing explicit would appear on screen. After she saw the final footage in a screening room, Stone said she confronted Verhoeven, though he has denied misleading her and said she knew what they were filming.
