Winona Ryder Faced Gibson’s Slur

In a 2020 interview, Winona Ryder, who was born Winona Laura Horowitz and has Jewish family heritage, said Mel Gibson once made an antisemitic remark to her at a Hollywood party. Ryder said the incident happened around 1995, when Gibson allegedly made a homophobic comment to her gay friend and then asked her if she was an "oven dodger" after Jews came up in the conversation.
