Verona Rupes’ Twelve-Minute Freefall

Verona Rupes on Uranus’s moon Miranda is often cited as the tallest known cliff in the solar system, with estimates putting it around twice Mount Everest’s height. Miranda’s low gravity means a fall from the top could last about 12 minutes before you hit the bottom. Even with that long drop, the impact speed would still be roughly 200 km/h.
