When NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft passed Pluto, the trip took about one minute less than predicted after a nearly decade-long cruise that began with its January 2006 launch. That miss worked out to about 99.99998% accuracy, and it compares that precision to forecasting a New York to Boston trip and being off by only four-millionths of a second.
