After investigative reporter Don Bolles was killed by a car bomb in 1976, 38 journalists from competing news organizations teamed up to finish his investigation. Bolles, a reporter for "The Arizona Republic," had been investigating corruption and organized crime in Arizona when the bomb exploded under his car in Phoenix.
