Apollo Ten Forced Profanity Training

The crew of Apollo 10 swore more than 230 times throughout the mission. Apollo 11 was planned as the first Moon landing mission, and parts of it would be televised to a massive public audience. NASA did not want astronauts accidentally broadcasting profanity during one of the most watched events in history. So before Apollo 11 launched, the agency trained Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins to keep their language clean.
