Samuel L. Jackson had no idea M. Night Shyamalan was planning "Glass" in 2019 as a sequel to "Unbreakable" from 2000 until he watched "Split" in 2016. Shyamalan had told Jackson to watch the movie and talk to him after, but he did not explain the connection first. When Bruce Willis appeared at the end, Jackson was just as shocked "as the rest of the world."
