Dogs Break Up Owner Rivalries

Dogs authentically get jealous and try to break up the connection between their owner and another dog. In a UC San Diego study, researchers watched dogs react while their owners ignored them and showed affection to a realistic stuffed dog. Many dogs snapped, pushed, or tried to get between their owner and the fake rival.
