Axis of Evil CMB Anomaly

Observations of the cosmic microwave background have revealed strange large-scale patterns that seem to put our solar system as the "center," an anomaly nicknamed the “Axis of Evil.” In simple terms, our "top half" of the CMB is slightly cooler than the "bottom half." Scientists have proposed statistical flukes, data processing effects, or foreground contamination, but the anomaly has never been completely explained or dismissed.
