Buried Alien Mocked Barry Allen Death

After DC killed off Barry Allen, Marvel dropped an amnesiac, blond speedster in a torn red suit into "Quasar" #17 (1990) and made the reference as loud as possible. He could not remember his real name, but he said it sounded like “Buried Alien,” and the Runner promptly crowned him “the fastest man alive” on the spot. Marvel framed him as an extra-dimensional runner who remembered he had a wife and friends somewhere else.
