Saiga Birth Turned Disaster

In May 2015, the "Planet Earth II" team traveled to the central Kazakhstan steppe to film saiga antelope gathering to give birth. Instead, what they witnessed was a disease sweeping through the herd and an accelerating die-off. They saw more than 150,000 saiga die in just three days.
