A lot of dinosaurs will never be found because fossil discovery depends on the right kind of preservation, not just on whether an animal once existed. If a species lived in places where bodies were quickly destroyed by erosion or mountain building instead of being buried in sediment, its remains had little chance of surviving for millions of years. That means some highly specialized dinosaurs may have lived in habitats that simply did not preserve them well enough for us to identify today.
