Chernobyl Score Power Plant Sound Track

For the 2019 miniseries Chernobyl, which dramatizes the 1986 nuclear disaster, Icelandic composer Hildur Gudnadottir built the score around real industrial noise. She recorded sounds at an actual power plant in Lithuania, capturing pumps, turbines, and other machinery as raw audio. She then incorporated those field recordings into the soundtrack to create the show’s anxious, mechanical atmosphere.
