Simpsons Milhouse Named After Nixon

On The Simpsons, Milhouse Van Houten got his first name from U.S. President Richard Milhous Nixon. Creator Matt Groening chose “Milhouse” because he thought it was the most unfortunate name he could give a child. The show later doubled down on the joke by revealing Milhouse’s middle name as “Mussolini.”
