Star Trek Saved Computer Voice Library

American actor Majel Barrett, who voiced the Starfleet computer on Star Trek, recorded a large library of phonetic sounds before she died. She did it so producers could reconstruct her voice later, even when she was no longer alive to record new lines. The recordings gave Star Trek a way to keep the computer’s voice consistent across future projects.
