Seinfeld Soup Nazi Confronted Cast

Seinfeld’s “Soup Nazi” character came from a real Manhattan soup seller, Al Yeganeh, the owner of Soup Kitchen International. After the episode aired, members of the cast and crew reportedly went to his restaurant for lunch, expecting a friendly victory lap. Instead, Yeganeh yelled at them and said the sudden publicity had ruined his reputation.
