Real Ghostbusters Recast Winston

Ghostbusters actor Ernie Hudson played Winston Zeddemore in the live-action films, but he also auditioned to voice Winston again for the animated series The Real Ghostbusters. The producers turned him down because they decided his voice did not sound enough like the version of Winston they wanted from the movie. The show went forward without him in the role, even though he was the actor who originated the character on screen.
