Female Orangutan Murder Alliance

In 2016, researchers in Borneo observed a female orangutan enlist a male to help attack and kill another female, marking the first recorded case of a female orangutan killing another female. During the encounter, the attacking female repeatedly assaulted the victim while the male restrained her, allowing the attack to continue for more than half an hour. Scientists described the cooperation as highly unusual, since orangutan violence rarely involves coordinated attacks.
