Allison Janney Political Pundit Offers

Actress Allison Janney played White House press secretary C. J. Cregg on The West Wing (1999–2006) so convincingly that people often confused her with a real political expert. After the show became popular, media outlets repeatedly invited her to appear as a political pundit. Janney declined those offers and reminded them she was an actor, not a political analyst. She joked that despite the role, she was not actually strong on politics.
