Emily the Cat’s Atlantic Voyage

Emily the Cat’s Atlantic Voyage

In 2005, a cat named Emily went missing from the home of Scott and Pam Napolitano in Wisconsin. The cat had wandered into a container filled with paper bales at a nearby recycling plant, which was trucked to Chicago and then shipped across the Atlantic to Europe. Weeks later, workers opened the container at a paper plant in France and discovered the dehydrated but alive stowaway. After veterinary care, Emily was flown back to Wisconsin and reunited with her owners.
