Black Sabbath Terrified Early Audiences

In 1970, early audiences who heard "Black Sabbath" by British band Black Sabbath at clubs were reportedly terrified by the song’s dark sound. According to British singer Ozzy Osbourne in his autobiography, the reaction was extreme: "All the girls ran out of the venue screaming." Osbourne later joked, "Isn't the whole point of being in a band to get a shag, not make the chicks run away?"
