Between 1976 and 1977 in Oakland County, Michigan, an unidentified serial killer abducted and murdered four children in one of the state’s most disturbing unsolved cases. After the abduction of 12-year-old Mark Stebbins, his mother publicly pleaded for his safe return and even promised to bring him his favorite meal from KFC if he came home. Days later, police discovered the boy’s body in a snow-covered field. Investigators reported that the child’s last meal had been fried chicken. The serial killer responsible for these murders has never been identified.
