Michael Madison’s Rotting Neighbor

In 2011 the owner of Ray’s Sausages in Ohio spent about $30,000 trying to eliminate a terrible odor that customers believed came from his sausage shop. The business owner hired specialists and made repeated improvements, but the smell never stopped. Investigators later discovered that the stench actually came from the house next door, where serial killer Michael Madison had been storing the decomposing bodies of his victims. Police searched the property and found multiple rotting corpses hidden inside the residence and garage.
