Notorious murderer Richard Kuklinski, later known as the “Iceman,” carried out numerous killings while working as a contract criminal in New Jersey during the 1970s and 1980s. In one incident, he killed a man and sealed the body inside a barrel filled with cement, then left it outside a local diner, expecting the discovery to cause a scene. Kuklinski reportedly returned to the diner repeatedly, waiting to see the reaction when the body was eventually found. Instead, the barrel mysteriously disappeared before anyone reported it. He later claimed that the diner's patrons never discussed the incident and the body was never recovered.
