David Parker Ray Survivor Ignored

In 1996, Kelli Garrett escaped after spending two days captive inside the torture chamber used by David Parker Ray in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Garrett later described how Ray had kidnapped, restrained, and abused her before she managed to survive the ordeal. When she reported the attack, both police and her husband initially doubted her account. Her husband believed she had fabricated the story to cover an affair and eventually divorced her. Years later, investigators confirmed that the serial killer David Parker Ray had abducted and tortured her.
