Dolly Parton’s My People Fund

In her home region of Tennessee, Dolly Parton runs one of the largest local employers through Dollywood, and after the 2016 wildfires, she launched the My People Fund that raised over 9 million dollars. Through the fund, more than 900 families received $1,000 a month for six months, totaling $10,000 each to help them rebuild their lives. The FBI later honored her for this leadership and relief effort.
