Male pattern baldness does not typically affect Native American, First Nations, and Alaska Native peoples, even though the condition can occur in men of any background. It appears most often in white men (followed by Afro-Caribbean men) and less often in men of Chinese or Japanese descent. Family history can still raise your odds if close relatives have the same pattern.
