Shortly after Pulp Fiction came out in 1994, Steven Spielberg invited Quentin Tarantino on a hunting trip, and Spielberg predicted that Tarantino would win the Oscar for Best Screenplay, while Robert Zemeckis would win the Oscar for Best Director. At the 67th Academy Awards in 1995, Tarantino and Roger Avary took home the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for Pulp Fiction, and Zemeckis won Best Director for Forrest Gump.
