Ambulance Driver Serial Route Killer

Ambulance Driver Serial Route Killer

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, notorious serial killer Charles William Davis worked as an ambulance driver in Fort Worth, Texas, while secretly prowling for victims along his regular routes. He raped and strangled women, then dumped their bodies in remote or roadside spots that his ambulance would likely be dispatched to later.

Davis sometimes phoned in tips about the locations of the corpses, then responded in his official role to "discover" and retrieve them, inserting himself into the investigation. When police finally linked him to multiple killings, he emerged as a murderer and suspected serial killer.
