While making Iron Man (2008), Jeff Bridges said the cast often arrived for major scenes without a finished script. He recalled how they would retreat to their trailers and call writers on the phone, asking, "You got any ideas?" As a result, much of the film's dialogue and character interaction grew out of last-minute brainstorming sessions rather than a locked-in screenplay.
