Most heavyweight boxers hit with a punching power in the range of about 1,200 to 1,700 PSI, roughly 10 times stronger than an average person’s punch. Within that already brutal class, Mike Tyson recorded a punch measured at about 1,800 PSI. For comparison, the fictional Soviet boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV is depicted with a punching power of over 2,100 PSI on a training machine.
