Eminem Settles Nightclub Assault Lawsuit

In June 2000, outside a nightclub in Michigan, rapper Eminem reportedly saw a man named John Guerra kissing his then wife in the parking lot and reacted by pulling out an unloaded gun and hitting Guerra in the face. Police arrested Eminem, and prosecutors later brought charges over the incident. In 2002, Eminem settled a civil lawsuit by paying Guerra $100,000 instead of taking the case to trial.
