Jewish Estries Shapeshifting Female Vampires

In Jewish mythology, estries are female vampires who feed on men, women, and children, can shapeshift into many forms, and can even walk on holy ground. Medieval sources describe them as winged night creatures who fly in the air and hunt for blood, sometimes taking the form of animals or beautiful women. They supposedly need to eat bread and salt before a journey to keep their powers, and killing one requires specific rituals, such as stopping her mouth with earth after death so she does not rise again.
